Sr Accountant – ONSITE Raleigh, NC
Job Summary
The Senior Accountant is responsible for performing complex accounting needs for the company and its affiliates. will be responsible for performing a variety of accounting tasks related to the month-end close, financial statement preparation, inventory management, fixed assets, intellectual property, prepaids, equity, and cash flow management. This role ensures the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting in compliance with GAAP and supports the organization’s financial health through diligent cash flow monitoring and cost-saving initiatives.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities
In completing the accountant duties, the following essential Functions apply:
• Understanding and ability to work daily in the company financial ERP system
• Reconcile accounts monthly to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.
• Delegate financial responsibilities to the accounting team.
• Oversee Accounts payable and receivable.
• Assist with audits and taxes.
• May train, oversee subordinate accounting staff.
• Ensures the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating and entering transactions.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts.
• Post monthly adjusting journal entries.
• Enter vendor bills.
• Create client invoices.
• Enter and maintain vendor and client information into financial management system.
• Monthly closings.
• Financial reporting.
• Bank and credit card reconciliations.
• Develop and implement accounting procedures by analyzing current procedures and recommending improvements.
• Protect organization's value by keeping information confidential.
• Accomplish accounting and organization mission by completing related tasks as needed.

Knowledgeable of Payroll system – ADP, Paycom, etc.

Physical Requirements
Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. and sit or stand for periods throughout the work day.
Work Environment
This position is NOT remote and 100% of work will be conducted in a company office in Raleigh, NC where collaboration with the Finance & Accounting team can occur. Position requires both sitting and standing in situations.
Education and/or Experience
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance, or in a related field preferred.
  • Must possess 5+ years of experience with processing multi-state payrolls and accounting software.
  • Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost accounting and cost control principles and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • NetSuite, QuickBooks Enterprise Desktop, and/or other ERP system experience.
  • Must possess strong technical background in the area specified, strong analytical skills, and excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must have strong Microsoft Office Suite skills with high functioning level of spreadsheets.
